Knitting 101

If you are interested in learning to knit, this is your workshop! We'll learn the basics of knitting such as cast-on, cast-off, knit or purl. We'll also learn how to choose the yarn and needles for a project, and how to read a simple pattern. At the end of the workshop, you will not just have learned the basics of knitting, but you will have made your own scarf. For the workshop you will need the following initial material: 1 set of knitting needles of size 5.0mm-5.5mm (US8-9) 1 skein of worsted weight yarn, adequate for the needles 1 tapestry needle You can choose either to bring your own material or to ask me to bring the material for you on the first session. (This latteroption costs about 10$, receipts will be provided. The initial material will only be used during the first two sessions. You will need additional material for the scarves we are going to make in the last two sessions but don't worry, we will plan a visit to a yarn shop.
