Learn the basics of knitting such as cast-on, cast-off, knit or purl. We'll also learn how to choose the yarn and needles for a project, and how to read a simple pattern. At the end of the course, you will not just have learned the basics of knitting, but you will have made your own cowl. You can find it for free at http://tincanknits.com/pattern-SC- oats.html (ii) A set of knitting needles US #8 / 5mm 16 (16, 32) inch circular needle (iii) 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn, adequate for the needles (iv) 1 tapestry needle (v) Knitting markers I recommend to buy all the material at Mind's Eye Yarns(https://www.mindseyeyarns.com). It is a lovely yarn shop in Porter Square and they have prepared for us a package with all the material you will need at a convenient price.
